When you think of teamwork, picture a group of people who can juggle deadlines, coffee cups, and the occasional office plant without breaking a sweat – that’s the VIP Broker Team at Fedhealth.
Team member Sebenzile Cele shares the team’s secret recipe for success: a dash of dedication, a sprinkle of creativity, and an unlimited supply of inside jokes that somehow make even the busiest days feel lighter.
And yes, this is the team that came up with our internal employee magazine, AfroScenes.
“Legend has it that during one of our ‘very serious’ brainstorming sessions (which may or may not have involved a heated debate over who finished the last biscuit 😉), Jabulile Masuku casually dropped the name ‘AfroScenes’ while trying to say ‘AfroZine’ with her mouth full of a sandwich,” Sebenzile says.
“The room went silent for a second, then erupted in laughter and just like that, the name stuck. Turns out, brilliance really does strike when you least expect it – and when there are snacks involved.”
Beyond the laughs, what truly defines this team of winners is how they celebrate with each other. “Whether it’s smashing targets, solving complex challenges, or surviving Monday mornings, we make sure to acknowledge our wins, big or small. Team lunches, spontaneous outings, and even ‘Best Coffee Maker’ awards have become our tradition because, hey, every victory deserves a little celebration!” Sebenzile says.
