Fraud education for Polmed
The Forensics team attended the Polmed Police National Open Day in Durban in January at the Kings Park Athletic Stadium.
We joined the Scheme alongside the Polmed Business Unit and Walk-In Centre teams with the goal of encouraging and educating Polmed members:
- to be aware of the claims submitted on their medical aid
- to look out for suspicious activities between member and practice
- to ensure that their contact information is up to date with the Scheme so they can receive all notifications of claims and any fraud-related tips
- to read and understand their member statements, and
- to educate them on how to report potentially false or suspicious activities
The visible presence, educating our members, the engagement and interaction from members was priceless.
