67 minutes of good

By extending kindness to those less fortunate, we continue former President Nelson Mandela’s legacy of compassion and social justice.

Nelson Mandela International Day is celebrated around the world on 18 July, and commemorates the birthday of South Africa’s first democratically elected president. This day honours Mandela’s remarkable 67 years of public service in fighting for justice, equality, and human rights.

The day calls on each of us to dedicate 67 minutes of our time to helping others – one minute for each year of Mandela’s public service.

Send your photographs and a short write-up of what you and your team did on the day to afroscenes@afrocentrichealth.com so that we can feature your contribution in the next edition of AfroScenes.
