Sentebaleng Makhafola, Case Manager, Registered Nurse, Active Disease Risk Management under POLMED
What makes you excited about joining the AfroCentric family?
Who wouldn’t be over the moon to join such a dynamic company? There is so much collaborative spirit here. I’ve known the company for a while and I totally admire its style and its role in the industry of healthcare and technology. I tried to join the company a number of times without success – and I never gave up, because I wanted to be associated with such a progressive, innovative, collaborative and engaging workplace. So I hope that I will bring quality and reliable results to the company. I see myself growing here because there’s so much to learn and to grow from one point to the other.
Your hobbies?
Watching series on Netflix. I love that alone moment where I can actually just reflect on everything. I love listening to music too because it calms me and puts me in a good mood always.
Your favourite TV shows and what’s on your playlist at the moment?
I don’t watch much TV because my kids own the remote – so I end up having to watch Disney Junior! So Bluey will be favourite show on TV – lol! It has a way of getting to me so that I actually end up paying attention to it and I get to learn one or two things about parenting skills as a young mom. I’m a supporter of local music, so anything that trends I tend to go with, depending on the kind of music. Right now, number one on my list is Makhadzi. She’s got too much energy and whenever I listen to her songs I draw that energy too. Who doesn’t dance when Makhadzi is playing?
Vuyelwa Michelle Siko, Nurse at Ison and
HellermannTyton staff clinics, under the health unit
