Recognising our top achievers

We’ve introduced a new way of paying tribute to those in the Group whose performance has been outstanding.

It’s that time of the year again when we honour the shining stars who consistently outperformed their colleagues over the past year. The annual Apex Awards will be held at a glamorous event in July 2023 to celebrate 2022’s outstanding achievers. Like last year, the AHL and Medscheme Exco will be there to show their support and appreciation for our shining stars.

What are the Apex Awards?

The Apex Awards reward all the top performers on the Single Service Measure (SSM), Enabler Areas, Project of the Year, Care Initiative and, last but not least, the Happiest Team, for a full calendar year. They are the best of the best and will compete for the coveted Apex Award for 2023.

What do they aim to achieve?

The Apex Awards aim to recognise the hard work and dedication that has been displayed in these areas over the past calendar year.  

Who are they designed for?

They are for the operational areas, the enabler teams and the clinical areas.

How do these awards tie in with the Ignite Employee Recognition Programme?

For now, they are not linked. The Apex Awards are separate, driving operational cadence and ensuring that we all move the needle in an agile way.

How do employees get involved?

Get involved by consistently meeting and exceeding your targets. The top performers will automatically be elevated to the top of the SSM.
