Breast cancer – what you need to know

AfroCentric Employee Wellness hosted a breast cancer awareness session attended by over 100 AfroCentric employees.

During the webinar, the following topics were covered:

1. Effectively self-examine your breasts.
2. What are your Medical Benefits should you be diagnosed with breast cancer?
3. How the journey will unfold with your medical aid, limits the medical aid has and the importance of using service designated provider/s.
4. The psycho-social support that is available through the Afrocentric Employee Wellness counseling service.

Support for breast cancer in our business was enhanced by making the breast light examination free of charge to employees and a permanent fixture at our wellness clinic.
