Promoting access to healthcare

AfroCentric Group prides itself in promoting access to affordable and quality healthcare for all. Through our Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Programme, the Group identifies qualifying entities in the healthcare industry to fund and develop so that they continue to participate in the economy and create jobs.

In the last financial year, AfroCentric Group has funded entities that provide primary healthcare-related services from the ESD Programme, namely Alma Clinics and Eluthandweni Maternity and Child Healthcare Services.

Alma and Eluthandweni have clinics in Pretoria and Vosloorus respectively, and have expanded their operations and opened new and affordable fee-paying clinic facilities that boast beautiful and welcoming kiddies’ rooms.

Our ESD and SED Committee, which is responsible for monitoring the entities who benefit from our ESD Programme, were part of the site visits to the two clinics. They were there when Alma opened a new clinic at Batho Plaza in Soshanguve and when Eluthandweni opened their new clinic at Alberton Mall.

Both clinics have shown significant growth and development, thus also creating employment.

We are proud to have partnered with clinics that continuously improve the health conditions of South Africans, offering services at affordable rates and in accessible locations, and helping to reduce congestion at government institutions.

The return on investment from the ESD Programme has exceeded our expectations and we look forward to fostering better relations, especially considering National Health Insurance (NHI).
