DENIS is the leading dental managed care company in South Africa and has been looking after their clients’ smiles since 1996.
Formally known as Dental Information Systems (Pty) Ltd, DENIS offers top-of-the-range dental benefit management services to over 3.7 million members across 11 medical schemes.
Services range from dental authorisations and claims management to member support and forensic audits. They manage three extensive dental networks with over 2 500 professionals, ensuring members have access to high-quality, cost-effective dental care.
Why oral health matters
Oral health is a gateway to overall health. Research links dental health to conditions such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. “Oral health is not just about maintaining a beautiful smile, it’s also a gateway to general health,” says Dr Pardon Maluleke, Clinical Executive at DENIS.
Focus on preventative care
Their dental benefit design emphasises prevention and they encourage members to visit their dental professionals annually for check-ups and cleanings, helping to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. In 2023, DENIS participated in 159 wellness events, providing oral health education and screenings.
