Who benefits?
Did you know that as a Sanlam pension or provident fund member, if you pass away without having completed a beneficiary nomination form, your death benefits will have to be paid into an estate account?
Without the completed beneficiary nomination form, the R50 000 funeral cover will not be paid to your family immediately but will be transferred to an estate account, which takes up to three months to open.
In addition to that, your life cover benefits will take up to 24 months to be paid out, while it can take less than six months if you have completed your nomination form.
Email your completed and signed beneficiary nomination form to employeebenefits@afrocentrichealth.com. Remember, the onus is on you to ensure that your documentation is up to date.
