Bringing the Madiba magic
AfroCentric staff from across the business honoured former President Nelson Mandela’s 67 years of public service by giving 67 minutes of their time to helping others less fortunate on International Nelson Mandela Day, celebrated on his birthday on 18 July.
A beacon of hope
Various teams in Roodepoort – from GEMS and Bonitas to Pharmacy Direct and Polmed, as well as individuals and employees from the Princeton office – responded to a call to donate educational toys to the Sechaba Community Care Centre. This centre is a beacon of hope for orphaned children and child-headed households in Etwatwa, on Gauteng’s East Rand. Our colleagues also gave their time to pack food buckets and water bottles for Sechaba.
