Whistleblowing in focus at AECI Wellness Day
The Forensics team received a warm welcome from AECI members in Modderfontein in March.
During AECI’s Wellness Day in Modderfontein, the Forensics team was on hand to provide valuable education to scheme members on various topics, such as:
- Ensuring their contact information is up to date so they can receive fraud tips and notifications about claims submitted on their medical aid
- Keeping a lookout for suspicious activities between members and providers
- Reading and understanding their member statements
- Reporting activities deemed to be suspicious or false through the available channels.
After the consultation with the Forensics representative, the members received leaflets detailing the various whistleblower reporting information channels.
The AECI members greatly appreciated the visible presence of the Forensics team, the education they provided and the interactive engagement.
