The AfroCentric Group emerged victorious at the ninth annual #BHFTitaniumAwards, alongside our pharma subsidiary, Pharmacy Direct.
AfroCentric won the Titanium Award for Best Integrated Report: Corporates in Healthcare, while Pharmacy Direct was recognised for its outstanding contribution to expanding access to quality healthcare through the Central Chronic Medication Dispensary and Distribution (CCMDD) programme, earning the Titanium Award for Excellence in Creating Access to Quality Healthcare.
The CCMDD programme provides an alternative mechanism for stable patients in the public health system to access their medicine, ensuring adherence, improved quality of care and service delivery, improved access to chronic medications, and decongestion of healthcare facilities by using alternative pick-up points for over 1.4 million patients across South Africa.
As a healthcare ecosystem, we are committed to advancing healthcare excellence and contributing significantly to the United Nations’ global Sustainable Development Goal – access to essential health services – as well as Chapter 10 of the National Development Plan 2030 (NDP).
