At Medscheme, we ensure we're actively part of that pledge. We shared videos, emailers, content around our buildings, handed out goodies and conducted a fraud survey. <\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6647f11 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6647f11\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Fraud is a broad term encompassing various illegal actions designed to deceive individuals or organisations for financial gain. As fraud becomes increasingly sophisticated, awareness and prevention are essential at all levels in our professional and personal lives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eef5ac6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"eef5ac6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Key types of fraud <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-100b8fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"100b8fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><strong>Identity fraud:<\/strong> A common form of fraud where criminals steal your identity to access financial accounts, make purchases, or open new lines of credit in your name.<\/li><li><strong>Cyber fraud:<\/strong> Attackers may use malware, phishing emails, or scam websites to gain access to your sensitive information. These frauds often rely on you clicking malicious links or providing personal data to fake organisations.<\/li><li><strong>Internal fraud:<\/strong> In the workplace, fraud can also occur through falsified reports, fraudulent sick notes, or misleading data to cover up errors or to manipulate performance metrics.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-768b963 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"768b963\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Don\u2019t be blindsided by fraud <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9361375 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9361375\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><strong>Double-check everything:<\/strong> Always scrutinise statements, emails, phone calls and messages asking for sensitive information or urgent actions.<\/li><li><strong>Don\u2019t click on suspicious links:<\/strong> Be sceptical of unsolicited emails, especially those that ask for personal or financial information. By staying alert, you can help reduce the risk. We have a zero-tolerance policy and strenuous audit processes in place to detect fraud, waste and abuse.
