Think Health, Think Pharmacy \u2013 One Profession, Many Roles<\/strong>, is this year\u2019s theme, and highlights the diverse and critical roles pharmacists play within the healthcare system. From dispensing essential medicines to shaping health policies, they are accessible, trusted professionals who make a tangible difference in our lives.<\/p>

Across the AfroCentric Group, we have 243 pharmacists and 231 pharmacist assistants who are embedded in nearly every aspect of our organisation \u2013 from manufacturing and distribution, to PMB and chronic medicine management, disease, HIV and oncology management, clinical coding, network contract management, clinical risk management, health policy, strategic planning, and various leadership roles.<\/p>

Their work is foundational to our transition toward\u202fvalue-based healthcare, ensuring that care is not only accessible but also effective and outcomes-driven.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dressed in their signature white coats, the Gems Medicine Management team brought World Pharmacy Day (25 September) to life, sparking conversations wherever they went.<\/p>

The team made their way around to other departments, sharing insights into the vital work they do and highlighting the role of pharmacology in clinical interventions in a fun and inspiring way.<\/p>

Our pharmacists embody the principles of integrity, innovation, and putting people first as they fulfil the role of trusted link between medical care and the community.
