Lindiwe grew up in a family and community culture of service to others and carries this philosophy into every decision she makes. For her, HR is not just about management or policy; it is about shaping an environment where people, culture and brand are intentionally and powerfully aligned. Lindiwe\u2019s attentiveness to people and her ability to engage meaningfully at C\u2011suite level were not forged through effortless wins. Q: Tell us about your career background and what you\u2019ve learned from that.\u202f\u202f<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My time in the public sector proved to be a demanding but invaluable training ground \u2013 one that strengthened what I call my \u201cquieter muscles\u201d, namely diplomacy and negotiation. The public sector requires a very particular kind of resilience \u2013 one that tests patience, adaptability and emotional intelligence.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Q: What are you most excited about at AfroCentric\/your role?\u202f\u202f<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I was drawn to the AfroCentric Group by the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the growth and strengthening of the healthcare industry \u2013 an industry that touches every life so deeply.<\/p>

The impact of COVID\u201119 on our country and the world was a powerful reminder of how vital a resilient healthcare system truly is. Coupled with being raised by a mother who devoted more than four decades of her life to an industry that ultimately failed to protect her, this moment in my career felt deeply personal. It felt like an opportunity to pick up the baton \u2013 both as a professional calling and as a way of honouring her legacy.<\/p>

What truly energises me is the unique intersection of brand and people, and the ability to influence both directly, shaping purpose-driven work that has real, lasting impact.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Q: What is your vision for Human Capital and GMCA over the next few years?\u202f <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Over the next few years, the vision for Human Capital and GMCA is centred on creating a seamless connection between brand and people. When these two elements are aligned, the result is a powerful synergy that strengthens both internal culture and external impact.<\/p>

The goal is to merge strategies that elevate employee engagement while simultaneously reinforcing brand identity in the marketplace.<\/p>

This integration is not just strategic \u2013 it\u2019s transformative. By ensuring that the brand resonates authentically with employees and stakeholders alike, the Group can unlock a combination that drives sustainable growth, innovation and loyalty.<\/p>

The excitement lies in the potential of this alignment: when people feel deeply connected to the brand, and the brand reflects the values of its people, the outcome is a unified force that propels the organisation forward.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Q: What are your favourite and worst parts of your job?\u202f <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What I enjoy most is listening to people\u2019s stories and really understanding their journeys, helping where I can, and uplifting them. That human connection is deeply rewarding. I also have genuine love for working with paper and the structure it brings to my day. There is something grounding about it that I find energising.<\/p>

The most challenging aspect is dealing with labour issues and restructuring. These processes are often necessary, but they can be tough and emotionally draining because they directly affect people\u2019s lives and livelihoods.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Q: What is your top productivity tip to get the most out of your day?\u202f <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I am driven by purpose and impact, and the innovation and advancement of healthcare strategies that will contribute directly to the lives of millions.<\/p>

Being involved in shaping and driving this agenda helps create a better society, promotes the gradual levelling of access to healthcare, ensures better care and value for every rand spent, and perhaps most importantly for me, supports what I call \u201chumanising the world again\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I draw my greatest inspiration from the strong women in my family \u2013 my grandmother and my aunt. Their resilience, wisdom and unwavering strength have shaped the way I see the world and the values I carry into my work and life. They embody perseverance and compassion, and their example continues to motivate me to lead with integrity and uplift others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I am drawn to legal documentaries and TV shows \u2014 I enjoy the way they unpack complex issues and bring real-world cases to life.<\/p>

Alongside that, I always gravitate toward reading biographies \u2013 from Michelle Obama to Prince Harry. There\u2019s something inspiring about learning from the lived experiences of others, understanding their challenges and seeing how they\u2019ve shaped history or their industries.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Q: Tell us a bit more about your family and history?\u202f <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I was raised by two remarkable women \u2013 my grandmother and my aunt. My grandmother cared for me until I was 14, and after her passing, my aunt stepped in and guided me until I was 21. Their strength and love shaped the foundation of who I am today.<\/p>

Family continues to be my greatest source of joy. I am blessed with three sons and two grandsons, who truly are the light of my life. Their presence keeps me grounded and inspired. I\u2019ve also been happily married for 25 years, and that partnership has been a constant source of support and happiness throughout my journey.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019m an interior designer and I\u2019m truly passionate about it. Creativity and design have always been part of who I am and I love bringing spaces to life in ways that inspire and uplift.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When it comes to my bucket list, travel is at the top. I would love to explore Italy \u2013 the beauty of Lake Como and the charm of Venice. Experiencing those places would be a dream come true.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
