Their knowledge extends beyond medicines \u2013 they are educators, advisors and healthcare professionals in their own right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Medication experts<\/strong>: Pharmacists possess a deep understanding of various drugs, their compositions, side effects and interactions. This ensures patients receive medications that are both safe and effective for their specific conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Patient counselling<\/strong>: Often, patients may have doubts or misconceptions about their medications. Pharmacists offer counselling, ensuring that patients understand their treatment, dosage, potential side effects and the importance of sticking to the instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Health promotion<\/strong>: Apart from medicines, pharmacists also advise on vaccinations, lifestyle changes and over-the-counter products. They play a crucial role in preventative healthcare by recommending suitable supplements and vitamins based on individual needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compounding:<\/strong> Some patients require specialised medication dosages or formulations not available commercially.
