A number of diverse and talented new employees recently joined the AfroCentric Group, infusing the departments and teams they\u2019re now part of with enthusiasm and renewed energy.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019m looking forward to growing my career alongside our brand to stand out against our competitors. I\u2019ve always wanted to be a creative designer but due to my excellent marks and APS score, I started off studying Law (LLB) after high school. I then dropped out to pursue what I\u2019m doing now \u2013 I\u2019m basically living my dream!<\/p>

On a personal note, my family comes first. My mother and younger brother are the reason I strive for excellence in all that I do. They\u2019re my life.<\/p>

And as for my playlist, right now I\u2019m listening to Kelvin Momo, old-school Kanye West, Khuli Chana, and Kendrick Lamar, but if I had to choose a song to describe my first few days and impressions at AfroCentric, I\u2019d say Kanye West\u2019s \u201cPower\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During induction I enjoyed all the presentations from the different departments, which gave me a broader perspective of what each unit or department does and how they contribute to the Afrocentric Group. I\u2019m looking forward to growing and seeing how I can contribute to the betterment of my department and the organisation. I was inspired to join the company because of its large footprint in the healthcare industry, and I\u2019m proud to be a part of AfroCentric because it is such a dynamic company that contributes largely to the healthcare of South African families.<\/p>

I owe my experience in this industry mostly to AfroCentric Health. I\u2019ve been fortunate to be granted various opportunities for growth and experience, and I can now proudly say that I am able to work in most of the many business units because of this.<\/p>

On a personal note, I love socialising and interacting with people from all walks of life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My skillset is quite diverse and while I\u2019ve previously worked in roles requiring both branding and digital marketing skills respectively, I\u2019m excited to merge the two at AfroCentric. Managing this comprehensive portfolio, which illuminates the company and its brand, feels like being handed my first drawing board to unleash my creativity on a grand scale.<\/p>

As a child, I aspired to be a TV presenter, inspired by the iconic hosts of the early 2000s who introduced the various SABC programmes \u2013 followed by the musical slogan \u201cSimunye, We Are One\u201d. While I didn\u2019t pursue that exact path, I\u2019ve done some TV work before and I continue to find fulfilment in public speaking roles, such as being an MC and facilitator. I still harbour dreams of hosting my own talk show someday, whether on TV or radio.<\/p>

In fact, I often say that I\u2019m the black sheep of my family because everyone else has pursued or is currently involved in careers within local government, but I\u2019ve charted a different course. I\u2019ve never felt drawn to that field, nor have I desired to settle permanently in my hometown of Komani (formerly Queenstown).<\/p>

Since 2012, my favourite movie has been Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. Tom Hardy\u2019s portrayal of Bane stands out as one of the finest acting performances I\u2019ve ever witnessed. When it comes to books, I always direct people towards The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho \u2013 if you haven\u2019t read it, start today!<\/p>

At the top of my playlist right now is Kabza De Small\u2019s \u201cImithandazo\u201d, a track that not only pumps up the energy but also resonates as a prayer for many young people.
