Pharmacy Direct embraced the spirit of International Mandela Day (18 July) <\/span>through<\/span> a series of events from <\/span>18<\/span> to<\/span> 31 July<\/span>, <\/span>demonstrating<\/span> our commitment to <\/span>making a <\/span>difference<\/span> in our <\/span>communit<\/span>ies<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mandela Day is celebrated every year on <\/span>the late former<\/span> President Nelson Mandela\u2019s birthday to honour his legacy, encouraging South Africans to give 67 minutes of their time to help those less fortunate.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dance competitions and fundraisers <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Pharmacy Direct <\/span>team <\/span>organi<\/span>s<\/span>ed dance competitions and fundraisers to support our operational staff at the CCMDD and PD Private sites in <\/span>Louwlardia<\/span> and <\/span>Kwartsiet<\/span>, both in Centurion<\/span>. These events not only united <\/span>the<\/span> team but also raised funds for those in need within our organi<\/span>s<\/span>ation.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Soup kitchens for a cause <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A soup kitchen at our PD Private <\/span>Kwartsiet<\/span> site provided nourishing meals for our hardworking staff, showing our appreciation for their <\/span>dedicati<\/span>on<\/span>,<\/span> and fostering unity within our Pharmacy Direct family.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A visit to The Village Safe Haven <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

On 31 July, the Pharmacy Direct leadership team paid a visit to The Village Safe Haven, a shelter for abandoned children <\/span>aged<\/span> 2 to <\/span>18 years<\/span>. During this visit, we hand<\/span>ed<\/span> over employee donations in the form of Checkers <\/span>s<\/span>hopping <\/span>v<\/span>ouchers and food hampers. These contributions will go a long way in supporting the invaluable work being done at The Village Safe Haven.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We are incredibly proud of the work done by Pharmacy Direct leadership and staff during this special month. Let us carry forward this spirit of compassion and unity as we strive to make a lasting difference in the world around us.
