AfroCentric conducted the Annual Fraud Survey during International Fraud Awareness Week in November 2023, and it is encouraging to note that there was a 21% increase in the response rate compared to 2022.
The aim of fraud management is to be effective in preventing, detecting, investigating and reporting on fraud, waste and abuse. Education, awareness and training are the most important controls in fraud risk mitigation and one of many ways to do so is through conducting fraud surveys.
