Jars of warmth
International Nelson Mandela Day explicitly calls for action to fight poverty and hunger worldwide, encouraging people to help transform communities and combat food insecurity.
The Hospital Claims Cape Town and Roodepoort teams collected and donated soup jars containing soup mix, soup powder, lentils, rice/pasta and a stock cube – enough to make a meal for four people.
They donated 42 jars of love to St John’s Anglican Church in Cape Town and Abraham Kriel Bambanani in Roodepoort.
