Fraud fighters
In July, the Forensic Team celebrated their biggest annual forensic recovery in department history – a whopping R161million!! This is a massive win for our schemes and their members.
AfroCentric CEO Gerald van Wyk, Medscheme CEO Andrew Schwulst, and Dr Mike Marshall, AfroCentric Executive Manager: Research and Product Development, joined the celebration when the team held their monthly “family meeting” to recognise the efforts of the fraud fighters.
The team meets every month, where GM Gerda Strydom shares a host of information, from financial achievements and goals, to celebrating employees who have qualified in their studies, and welcoming new team members. Topics under discussion also include specific scheme requests or scheme feedback, and ends off with something motivational.
It is an opportunity for the team to celebrate big and small wins, and tackle anything where they need added focus, or just connect with each other as colleagues.
