Deeply rooted in the spirt of Ubuntu (I am because we are), Nelson Mandela dedicated his 67 years in public service to action with compassion and empathy for the betterment of all South African communities – the epitome of Ubuntu.
Joining in this spirit of giving and unity, the Health Quality Assurance team dedicated their 67 minutes in honour of Madiba to serving about 400 homeless people in Ennerdale, Johannesburg, with warm, hearty soup and bread.
“While this act of service brought warmth to many, we were reminded of the ongoing and urgent need in our communities, especially during the colder months. Many individuals are still in desperate need of warm clothing, shoes, and blankets,” team member Colette Esau says.
